Parking Tickets

What should I do if I get a parking ticket?

Any parking tickets issued during your booking should be paid by you. Any parking tickets, bus lane fines, clamping fines or towing fines issued after the booking will initially be paid by Streetvan. We will then add the cost onto your account along with any administration charge associated with processing the fine.

What about speeding fines?

You are responsible for any speeding tickets received during you booking. If we receive a ticket for you, we will pass your details on to the authority that issued the ticket and they will contact you directly.

Mobile phones

Do your vans have built-in hands free?

You can receive calls on the in-van phone system but you cannot make them. Please contact Streetvan on 0845 644 8475 if you would like to know your van's phone number, but for making calls please use your own hands free kit.

Smoking

Am I allowed to smoke in the van?

No. Out of consideration for subsequent users, we don't allow this. If you or a passenger do smoke in the van, a £25 fine will be added to your bill.

Pets

Can I carry pets in the van?

No. At Streetvan we all love animals like anyone else, but because they can make the vans dirty for the next user, we do not allow pets of any sort in the vans.

Breakdowns

What do I do if the van breaks down?

Report it to us as soon as possible and contact the Volkswagen Breakdown Service from the number on the back of the tax disc. There will be no charge for this.

Will I still be able to get where I'm going if the van breaks down?

We will always do anything we can to get you to your destination.

Can I jump-start the van?

No. You may not jump-start a Streetvan or use it to jump-start another van. The sensitive electronics in the van might not like it.

Stuff left in the van

What should I do if the previous user has left stuff in the van?

Call us to let us know about the stuff left in the van so we can let the previous user know. If it is taking up too much space in the van we will advise where you can leave it.
