Registration
It costs just £19.50 to register with Streetvan. When you register you get:
- Your very own Streetvan smartcard
- Fully comprehensive insurance
- A highly-trained support team available 365 days a year
- 24/7/365 breakdown and recovery service
Annual re-registration is £19.50.
Usage Rates for 2010
Monday-Friday rates exclude Bank Holidays
7 day rates exclude bookings over peak weekends. Details.
Mileage
30 miles free per day, then 23p per mile
To get you going we include 30 miles of free petrol for every day your booking touches.
After that, mileage plus petrol is charged at 23p per mile. Because you only pay
for the miles you use, you can fill up your Streetvan whenever you want with the
fuel card provided. At the end of your trip the van's computer will let us know
how far you've been.
Go as far as you want
As long as you bring the van back in good condition, we don't mind where you go
with your Streetvan. But for insurance purposes, if you'd like to take it abroad
do let us know beforehand.
Reducing your damage excess
Fully comprehensive insurance included, excess can be reduced
from £9.95 per month
Insurance is included with Streetvan membership. The standard damage excess is £1000. The standard excess is £1,000, and
this may be reduced to zero at a cost of £19.95 per month, or to £250 at a cost
of £14.95. You can also reduce this excess on a per-trip basis for £19.50 per day.
No London Congestion Charge
Streetcar pays your London Congestion Charges on all bookings.
Despite their environmental benefits, Streetcars are not currently exempt from the
Charge. However, Streetcar will absorb all Congestion Charges accrued during your
booking.
Peak Restrictions
At peak times of the year, some extra value offers are not available.
The 7 day rate offer is not available for bookings which include any part of a bank
holiday weekend or weekend in July and August.
Before you confirm your booking you will be able to view if you have qualified for
the 7 day rate. Booking cost and fuel tariff will also be detailed in your booking

include the effect of these restrictions.
Inexperienced driver charge
For drivers aged 24 or under: 9p per mile
Inexperienced drivers are responsible for a disproportionate number of accidents,
so we have an additional charge to reflect this.
Those with a proven history of good driving will be exempt from the young driver
premium. Exemptions are available to:
- Those who have two years no claims history dated within
a month of submission.
or
- Those who have had 20 bookings or more with Streetcar
and have not caused any damage or had any further points added to their licence.
